RECOMMENDATION :
That Petitioner’s naval record be corrected, where appropriate, to
show that:
a. Petitioner declined participation in the Survivor Benefit
Plan (SBP) prior to his 30 April 2009 transfer to the Temporary
Disability Retired List (TDRL). He was not married at the time.

b. «Note: this change is being made because of evidence that
Petitioner was previously automatically enrolled in SBP without the
benefit of proper counseling.
¢. A copy of this Report of Proceedings will be filed in
Petitioner’s naval record.

the Board's proceedings in the above entitled matter.
